2011 Nissan LEAF SL

Excellent condition—inside and outside. The only area of wear is on the driver’s side armrest on the door. It shows wear and some darkening. Please see pictures.

Please note I believe there is a fault with this car. It charges between 25 - 32 miles, and then stops charging, thinking it’s fully charged. It’s reliable though, and it’s estimated miles remaining is accurate.

It runs and drives great. Everything works.

However, it is concerning that it does not fully charge to 100% Its range is currently and consistently around 30 miles. With no fault, they usually make it around 70 miles on a charge. Leafs were designed for a tootle-around-town vehicle, and for someone who doesn’t drive far. Granted, with the 30-miles range it has currently, it’s even less of a tootle, but maybe it can be fixed. Most likely it’s a capacitor or something similar, but my guess they’re integrated into the battery cells, and it’s difficult to separate the two. In addition, due to the high voltage associated with EVs, I would not recommend working on it yourself, unless you’re fully qualified. In the meantime, I will continue to research it and see if I can get it fully back up to par. Why not take it to a dealer, you ask? They would most likely try and replace the entire battery cells, and this is not cost effective for this vehicle at this stage in its life (Keep in mind though, these are 100,000 batteries…).
